Babies don't keep

Ran across this and wanted to share.

The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
For children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.

It's the last verse from Song for a Fifth Child by Ruth Hulburt Hamilton

  1. It is so true that babies don't keep. My last baby is 17 already. And the one in the post called A Few Years Back is already 26!
